The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said on Saturday that it purchased three sites from the Community of Christ, formerly the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The sites purchased are: 6,000 acres of farmland in Missouri as well as three historic sites, which are the Haun's Mill and the Far West Burying Ground in Missouri, as well as the Joseph Smith, Sr. Home in Kirtland, Ohio. Among the over-200 people buried at the Far West Burial Ground is Elder David W. Pattern, one of the original members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
